My dream job

When I was a kid, I used to change my mind about my dream job all the time. First, I wanted to be a fashion designer, and the next week, I wanted to be a veterinarian.

Then in school, I met many excellent teachers, so for a while, I wanted to become a teacher of science just like them. Although it was something I often doubted because the behavior of teenagers at that age made me think twice.

As I was growing up my interests become clearer, and I started getting more into science. Then, when my mom started working as a dental assistant in a clinic, I would visit her at work, and the dentists would talk to me. That's when I began to do a bit more research into their profession.

From that moment on, I started dreaming of becoming a dentist. Fortunately, I got into the university program I wanted. I’m currently in my first year, and a lot of people ask me what specialization I want in the future. It could be a pediatric dentist, an endodontist, or maybe a restorative dentist. To be honest, I’m not sure yet, i’m quite interested in periodontics, but I have plenty of time to think about it.

What I am sure about is that I would like to improve public dental health. I’m interested in working in a public hospital after completing my studies and then specializing in the area I like. When I achieve these goals, I would like to pursue a Master’s in Public Health to improve the quality of care for patients who don’t have the resources to afford expensive dental treatments.
